Frank R. Contreras, 64, of Hemet, died Feb. 15, 2012, at UCI Medical Center in Orange. Services were Feb. 22 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in San Jacinto.

Interment was held at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery.

Mr. Contreras, who was born in Upland, lived in Hemet for 22 years and in the San Jacinto Valley for 42 years.

He worked for Verizon for 30 years. Mr. Contreras was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Contreras; his parents, Daniel and Raphaela Contreras; four brothers, Fortino, Manuel, Manuel, and Fernando Contreras; and a sister, Francisca Contreras.

He is survived by six daughters, Elisa Anderson, Mayte Contreras, Dennise Contreras, Erika Contreras, Celeste Contreras, and Anjelica Contreras; two sons, Daniel Contreras and Joshua Contreras; two brothers, Ralph Contreras and Alfred Contreras; three sisters, Linda Contreras, Esther Allen, and Josephine Martin; and 17 grandchildren.
