Odos Aldine Clanin Jr., 88, of Hemet, died Feb. 1, 2012, at his home.

Services were Feb. 15 at Riverside National Cemetery.

Miller-Jones Mortuary in Hemet handled arrangements.

Mr. Clanin, who was born in Illinois, lived in Hemet for 35 years.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He earned the Purple Heart Medal.

Mr. Clanin was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Patricia M. Clanin.

He is survived by three daughters, Judith Ann DeVos, Patricia Marie Mills, and Laura Beals; a son, Odos A. Clanin III; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
