Classically trained guitarist David Jerome will perform "An Evening of Romantic Guitar Music" at 6:30 p.m. Feb.19 at the Esplanade Arts Center (EAC) in San Jacinto.
"We thought we could extend the Valentine's Day mood with this program of original arrangements from the great American songbook and seductive serenades from Latin America," said Jerome.
After earning his B.A. in music from the University of California Berkeley, Jerome studied with David Tannenbaum, and taught guitar in the San Francisco bay area for ten years. Jerome has presented his mixture of history and performance at Guitar Festivals and Recitals throughout Brazil and the US, including ethnomusicology conferences, guitar societies, colleges and concert series. He presently resides in Idyllwild and continues to teach and work as a freelance musician and as director of the Idyll-Beast Research Center.
"Third Sundays" take place on the third Sunday of each month at the Esplanade Arts Center located at 2181 W. Esplanade Avenue in San Jacinto and operated by the Diamond Valley Arts Council.
