Lunafest Short Films By, For, and About Women is being hosted by Soroptomist San Jacinto-Hemet Valley at 1 p.m. Feb. 11 at Mt. San Jacinto Community College Theater.

Lunafest Films are known for celebrating the talents and stories of women. The organization is in its 11th year and has selected 10 films ranging from quirky animation to documentaries.

Soroptomist San Jacinto-Hemet Valley chose to host the event because of its commitment to improving the lives of women and girls in the valley. Soroptomist means “best for women.”

Films include “Every Mother Counts: Obstetric Fistula,” “How to be Alone,” “I am a Girl,” “Lady Razorbacks,” “Life Model,” “Missed Connections,” “A Reluctant Bride,” “The Wind is Blowing on my Street,” and “Worst Enemy.”

Tickets and information on the films are available now and can be purchased online at www.lunafest.org/sanjacinto or at the following locations:

Robyn Kerry Salon and Spa, Rabobank, State Farm Insurance, Physical Rehabilitation Center, and Dr. Koka’s office. Ticket prices are $20 general admission and $18 for college students with ASB.
