Sheriff trying to ruin Soboba-city relations

It is very disturbing that the Riverside County sheriff (at least, Sheriff Stan Sniff) is doing its best to hurt relations between the city of San Jacinto and the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians by their threat to try to close the Soboba Casino.

The tribe is very important to our city and Valley. The business that is brought about by the casino (perhaps a new one in the future), the golf course, and the beautiful new golf club is substantial. Also, a large hotel, which would generate a lot of jobs, is in the works.

We need the reservation a lot more than we need the Sheriff's Department. It seems now that the best interests of San Jacinto are at the mercy of the Sheriff's Department.

Could it be that San Jacinto made a mistake replacing their Police Department with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department?
